Thanks for visiting my site. My newest CD, "Plectrum Jazz Guitar Solos" was recently named among the "best of 2011" releases by the Jazz Journalists Association (JJA). Thanks to David R. Adler for the inclusion. It is available here (store page)and also on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon as well as other online sources. Check out my video of "St. Louis Blues", and the "Media" page to see reviews. Hoping you like it, and please help me spread the word.
I am a guitar player, and I live in the Chicago area. I play all styles except classical, but I am mostly active as a jazz player. I have played all over the U.S. as well as in the U.K. and Europe. I work as a leader as well as a sideman.
My two teaching gigs are at the University of Michigan and Elmhurst College. I also do the summer Jazz camp at Interlochen Arts Academy. Amazing camp. Hogwarts for music. If you are high school age you have to go if you sincerely want to play better. Check out www.interlochen.org. Look up the faculty playing "The Aesthete" on Youtube (type in Interlochen Jazz Faculty).
Look for Thomas Cray's interview of me in the February issue of Just Jazz Guitar Magazine. Also check out the current issue of Chicago Jazz Magazine to see my article, "What Good Students Know".
I have some master classes lined up next month. I am combo clinician at the Frank Mantooth New Trier Jazz Fest on February 4th. I will be at University of Michigan's High School Festival February 11, and University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) campus Feb 22. Come back once in a while and check my dates. Hope to see you at a gig.
I endorse and use Acoustic Image amplifiers and Raezer's Edge speakers.
